SCORING

This series is different to most. Here you will be racing yourself while having fun with mates.

Yes we do have classes but this only a fraction of the calculation towards the ultimate R100,000.00!

Each event will be scored using overall postion, classes and consistency. The OVERALL series winner (R100,000.00) will be the person most consistent per event. This means you will be racing against “yourself”.

Let me explain the consistency…

Your first run of the day will be your benchmark and then this will move on to your 2nd, 3rd 4th etc.

Example :

Run 1 : 60 sec,
Run 2 : 59 sec – this means you have a difference of 1sec.
Run 3:  58 sec – Run 3 will be scored against Run 2 and gives you a difference of 1sec again
Run 4 : 57 sec – Run 4 will be scored against Run 3 and gives you a difference of 1sec again

This means your average number is 1 Sec. Lowest average number is what you are aiming for.

It doesn’t matter if you do 60sec runs or 90sec runs or even 180sec runs, you are scored against yourself!

Before you think you can compete on a “regularity” format to calculate your times, you still have to place as high on the overall and class boards.

You will score a % of overall postion AND a % of class postion. These 2 numbers count 11.5% each towards Final Series results.

Weight of these results for final Class and Overall postions :

(77% Consistency + 11,5% Overall per event (Scored against all entrants) + 11,5% Class per event (Scored against everyone in your class including ladies))

Note : ALL events count towards your final result MINUS your 1 WORST event…

POINTS

Points are accumulated over the ALL events MINUS your 1 worst event. (This means that you get to miss 1 event if you choose)

Points will be awarded as follow :

Class Points : 35, 32, 30, 29, 28, 27 down to 1

Overall Points : 6, 4, 3, 2, 1

Most points at the end of the season wins the R100,000.00 Cash prize
